Dear St. Thomas’,
This week is our ingathering of pledges for 2024!
Thank you to those who have turned in their pledge cards already! Thank
you for your commitment to St. Thomas’ and your faith in what God is
doing here!
If you have not yet turned in your pledge card, please bring it this
weekend and place it in the offering basin so that it may be blessed on
the altar.
It is the pledges received by this weekend that will enable our Vestry
to formulate a faithful, expectant, and responsible budget plan for St.
Thomas’ in 2024.
Our God provides for us in abundance, and it is from our abundance that
we joyfully return a portion of what we have received to the work of
God’s Church.
Faithfully,
Todd+
A group from St. Thomas’ went to the premier of a documentary about the “Philadelphia 11”: the first eleven women ordained as priests in the Episcopal Church. You can read a report about that day from the Episcopal News Service.
Did you know the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City, so much in the news recently, is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem? You can read more about it, or make donations through a reliable partner, the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem.
Read Presiding Bishop Curry’s comments on these events here.
See a news report on the hospital’s most recent trauma here.
Interested in joining a new ministry but don’t know where to start? Every week, a different group will be highlighted at the end of the newsletter. Information about meetings, what they do in the church or community, contact info and more! If you have content you want to share about your ministry, send it to announcements@stthomasglassboro.org to be featured in an upcoming newsletter.
