Parish Email for Friday, 25 April 2025

Thursday last week was not only Maundy Thursday but also the Rowan
University Pridefest. We (TEC@RU, led by St. Thomas’) have been tabling
at Pridefest for several years, always the only Christian group present.
Our very presence is an important message of acceptance and embrace, and
numerous people acknowledge receiving that message every year. The event
directly conflicted with our Maundy Thursday liturgy this year, so that
Fr. Todd could not attend. But we were still represented by three Vestry
members from St. Thomas’ and one friend of St. Thomas’! Tabling at
Pridefest is a direct expression of obedience to Jesus’ “new
commandment” to his disciples that we love one another.  Check out the
posterboards on the bulletin board in the Lower Level Parish Hall for more
pictures!
